April 7, the World Health Expo 2024
(hereinafter referred to WHE2024) opened at the Wuhan International Expo Center
in Hubei province.
With the theme of "Creating the Future
through Science and Technology in a Healthy Community", the WHE2024 will
be co-sponsored by the Chushang Federation of Hubei Province, the Chinese Preventive
Medicine Association, the Chinese Health Association, the China Association of
Assistive Products and the China Association of Pharmaceutical Commerce. Exhibition
areas set up around key areas such as industrial development, medical devices,
biochemical drugs, digital health, assistive products for rehabilitation,
elderly care industry, maternal and child health, traditional medicine, health
management, and healthy life, with an area of about 100,000 square meters.
Chen Dongsheng, director of the organizing
committee of the WHE2024 and president of the Chushang Federation of Hubei
Province, said that the World Health Expo has been successfully held for five
consecutive sessions since 2019, attracting nearly 6,000 domestic and foreign
enterprises to participate in the exhibition, signing 167 government-enterprise
cooperation projects, and investing nearly 400 billion RMB. In order to promote
the development of the national health industry, Accelerating the rise of the
major health industry in Hubei Province and Wuhan contributed ideas, wisdom and
strength.
The initiative of the WHE2024 not only
reflects China's spirit of actively responding to and proactively seeking
change by focusing on the major changes unseen in the world in a century, but
also puts into practice the concept of "Life First" and actively
participates in the exploration of global health governance. The Organizing Committee
should take this expo as an opportunity to focus on the theme of “Science and
Technology for a Healthy Community for the Future”, empower health with science
and technology, lead healthy development with innovation, uphold the concept of
a community with a shared future for mankind, and jointly build a community of
human health.
